All Renovation Construction LLC was the lead General Contractor for New York City’s borough’s fourth passive house construction, a four-story historic Park Slope brownstone. This project is the nation’s first townhouse retrofit to meet passive house standards. The project was a full “gut” brownstone renovation that began in September 2009 and was completed in 2010. 3rd St – Brooklyn – Park Slope’s Passive House Brownstone – This project is the first passive house townhouse retrofit in Park Slope, Brooklyn. In addition to the strict Passive House standards this project included a new kitchen, three and a half new bathrooms, built-in bookshelves, two new EcoSmart fireplaces, solar hot water, new detailed oak flooring, restoration of original oak moldings and casements, a new back deck, and a landscaped backyard.. The Architect for this project Jeremy R. M. Shannon (Principal of Architect) of Prospect Architecture, PC has created The New York Passive House (NYPH) Meetup. This Meetup is a social gathering that allows New Yorkers to learn more about the Passive House building standard and meet others interested in working with the Passive House standards.
